The computer system used by Gerald Davis is currently has an AMD Opteron 175 64 Bit Dual Core processor with a nVidia FX3400 Dual Head graphics engine.  The primary monitor is a Gateway FPD2185 18" x 11" and the secondary monitor is a Sony HX93 19".  The SATA hard drive is backed up using a USB Maxtor / Retrospect sub system.  An Olympus digital camera and an Cannon scanner are used for capturing real world images.

A Dell M60 Laptop is used as the portable CAD workstation for demonstrations and on-site presentations.

The design software used includes SolidWorks 2006 which is maintained with subscription service to assure that the latest technology is available.  An archive computer system also has SolidWorks 2004 and 2005 installed (but hardly ever gets used).  Microsoft Office 2003 is the core of the business software.  A variety of graphics software is used for adding special effects to still images and animations.

For hardcopy output, a HP1115 Photosmart printer is used for color.  A HP Laserjet 5000N is used for black & white (maximum print size is 11" x 17")

A variety of inspection and measuring equipment is available for reverse engineering and design validation.  This includes digital verniers, micrometers, height gauge, and protractors.

The most under ultilized equipment includes snow skiing apparatus, a set of golf clubs, and a pretty good collection of musical instruments.  Gerald tries to play with these toys as often as possible, but customer service always takes first priority.

The goal is to maintain the software and hardware in a reasonably up-to-date status.
